The Department of Public Programs at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York (CUNY) is proud to present the annual Live@365, an ongoing run of global music performances staging monthly at Elebash Recital Hall, located at 365 Fifth Avenue, NYC, situated across the street from the Empire State Building.
Now in its fourth season, Live@365's forward thinking programming offers audiences a chance to hear tomorrow's global superstars today in an acoustically vibrant, accessible and intimate mid-Manhattan venue with affordable ticket pricing. The Fall 2014 season features music from artists across the globe representing an array of genres. The season begins with an innovative take on southern Slavic tamburitza music featuring the NYC premiere of the Hungarian band Söndörgõ on September 25. Live@365 continues with a rare opportunity to experience the indigenous music of the tiny Southern African nation of Malawi with the gospel vocal harmonies of the four-man African collective Malawi Mouse Boys in their NYC premiere on October 7. On November 20, Live@365 hosts Arabic folk pop from one of the leading musical voices of The Arab Spring, Emel Mathlouthi.
