Public Programs at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York (CUNY) is proud to present the third annual
Live@365, an ongoing season of global music and performance curated by Isabel Soffer, staging monthly at Elebash Recital Hall,
located at 365 Fifth Avenue in NYC. Live@365 offers audiences a chance to hear tomorrow's global superstars today in an acoustically plush,
readily accessible, and comfortably intimate mid-Manhattan venue with affordable ticket pricing.
The 2013-2014 season features music from artists across the globe representing an array of genres, including blues-rock from Mali with Vieux Farka Toure on October 29; Sephardic piyyutim from the Brooklyn-based Rabbi Gad Bouskila and Hazzan Yohai Cohen supported by the New York Andalus Ensemble on November 5; indigenous Hawaiian sounds from mother/son duo Kekuhi and Kaumakaiwa Kanaka'ole on November 20; strictly traditional fado from Portuguese star Ricardo Ribeiro on February 5; modern classical compositions from Sri Lankan and Syrian-born Dinuk Wijeratne and Kinan Azmeh on March 11; and Andalusian Gypsy Flamenco legend Miguel "El Funi" on April 16. The season begins on September 19 with the US premiere of Ukrainian instrumentalists and singers DakhaBrakha.
